Specialist-Fault Investigation Qualification: B.E (Electrical Engineering) Minimum 15 years experience including experience in a world known power utility in a similar position. Job Requirements: • Deliver a high level of technical expertise to the utility specialising in power system protection up to 400kV and provide guidance to the Protection team in handling of protection related matters such as advanced system analysis, protection coordination, advanced system modelling, short circuit studies, protection design, system development, improvement of protection principals and practices within the organisation. • Advanced power system modelling and studies capability. • Advanced power system disturbance investigations & analysis. • Perform protection coordination studies for the 400/132kV system & prepare setting calculations for all types of protection. • Develop guidelines for relay setting calculations. • Provide high level expertise for transmission protection including feeder, busbar, transformer, reactor and generator protection including distance and differential protection. • Assure timely completion of all protection studies and settings for new projects. • Introduction and advanced application of new protection relays & fault recorder equipment. • Develop & conduct training for staff on EHV protection application, coordination and setting calculation. • Should be a highly experienced protection specialist. • Should have sound knowledge of power system theory including generation and EHV Protection applications. • Must be a good leader with the ability to provide training for others. • Should have good command over technical report writing Good computer & communication skills. All these roles will be based in the UAE.
