Manager-Trans.Line Patrolling Degree in Electrical/Power Engineering, 10/15 years experience in maintenance planning, routine maintenance of Transmission cables and Over Head Lines, skills in supervision of cable/OHL installation, testing and having good knowledge of managing patrolling teams, issuing and processing NOCs with Excellent Communication and negotiation skills in coordinating with various clients, contractors and other Govt. Authorities regarding NOC and Violation issues. Shall be familiar with the protection, safety, methods and precautions to be followed during excavation nearby the transmission lines and to organize and supervise patrolling of transmission cable and OHL network. The person in this position is responsible to; • Monitor the strategies and objectives of the Transmission Lines Patrolling & NOC section and formulate new initiates, follow up action plans and achieve set target and goals. • Control/manage the administrative works of Transmission Lines Patrolling & NOC section and ensure proper planning, execution and tracking of daily tasks, progress reports, strategies. • Periodic review of expansion in the Transmission Lines and evaluation of patrolling zones, landmarks to maximize the patrolling coverage in cable and OHL network. Optimum utilization of resources, vehicle and manpower to cover all the critical areas and work sites. • Monitor critical work sites and ensure fixed site supervision at the required locations. Check and approve the method statements and work procedures nearby transmission lines to ensure compliance to all the safety requirements. • Approve Design/Construction NOCs after confirming compliance to company rules and conditions and monitor the performance of NOC unit to ensure smooth processing of NOCs within the target time. • Attend coordination meeting with other Govt. Authorities, Contractors, and Consultants etc. to resolve controversial issues related to NOCs and violations and to ensure safeguarding of transmission lines. • Provide briefings and up to date reports and information to direct in charge about abnormalities, corrective / emergency maintenance and latest updates on important issues. • Analyze and monitor the rate and type of violation and direct the patrolling team to avoid/reduce the same. Monitor progress of removal of violations and support the patrolling team to coordinate with all concerned parties involved in the removal process. • Maximize productivity, efficiency and accuracy through optimum utilization of resources, manpower, and budget and productivity measurement tools. • Ensure preparedness for crises/emergencies. Make proper plans and arrange site drills and find out areas for improvement. Minimize patrolling time, and improve efficiency of patrolling. • Monitor staff performance, carryout gap analysis and find out the required improvement of skills for the Patrolling and NOC staff and arrange available training. Develop multi skill patrolling team. All these roles will be based in the UAE.
