Assistant Manager-PCS/Deputy Manager-Transmission Protection Qualification: B.E (Electrical Engineering) Minimum 10-12 years in Power utility including experience in a similar position. Responsible for management of protection team, ensure protection settings are produced on time for running projects, develop & implement best work practices to ensure optimum Transmission/Distribution system security & reliability. • Maintain high quality working environment, supervising staff in system protection related activities. • Manage individual performance of protection staff including performance review, maintaining job profiles, staff development and handling work performance. • Manpower planning & budgeting for the section. • Able to provide technical leadership and assistance to staff and others in the organization on high level protection and power system issues. • Should be capable to supervise & lead a team of protection engineers. • Shall have experience in protection Simulation software PSSE, CAPE or equivalent. • Shall have excellent verbal skills and high level technical report writing skills • Should be able to develop and train Protection Engineers on a range of Transmission and distribution protection issues. • Shall have excellent power system theoretical knowledge. • Should be capable to plan and coordinate protection related activities with in the section as well as with external Depts. • Proven capability in managing data and documentation associated with all protection and related power system equipment. Shall have a dedicated and professional work ethic and work well within a team environment. All these roles will be based in the UAE
