Details:
Sr.Engineer-Trans.Cables Maintenance Degree in Electrical Engineering, 8/10 years experience in maintenance planning, routine maintenance of Transmission cables, skills in supervision of cable installation, cable testing, attending emergencies and having good knowledge of fault locating and fault locating instruments. Should be familiar with preparation of Technical specification, Reliability centered and condition based maintenance practices. Should be conversant with computerized maintenance management system and financial and economic aspects of asset management in addition to the following activities; • Ensure proper maintenance & protection of Transmission cables, by using departmental procedure to ensure uninterrupted supply. • Resolve / rectify all controversial technical issues • Rectify any fault/abnormality in transmission cable network and plan preventive / remedial actions • Participate in investigation work on system in 400/132kV Sub-stations & Transmission Overhead Lines by attending meetings with the concerned engineers/site staff as well as making regular site visits to resolve site issues. • Prepare refurbishment plan, periodical progress reports, technical specification, maintenance policy etc. • Provide budget requirement, procure spares, monitor stock level of essential and emergency spares and update utilization. • Attend emergencies related to Transmission cables and carry out fault locating and rectification works. All these roles will be based in the UAE
