Sr.Engineer-Trans.Lines Maintenance Degree in Electrical Engineering, 8/10 years experience in maintenance planning, routine maintenance of Transmission cables and Over Head Lines, skills in supervision of cable/OHL installation, testing, attending emergencies and having good knowledge of fault locating and fault locating instruments. Shall be familiar with the protection, safety, methods and precautions to be followed during excavation nearby the transmission lines and to organize and supervise patrolling of transmission cable and OHL network. In addition to the above, this position is responsible to; • Assist in administrative/technical works of transmission lines maintenance section by assisting in proper planning, execution and monitoring of all the activities. • Assist in preparing various reports and feedbacks as per the assigned tasks. • Assist in strategic planning of the department, formulate new initiatives, coordinate quality, ISO and Safety related issues. • Review abnormalities in transmission lines and ensure that all defects are identified, reported, analyzed and carried out in order to prevent similar occurrences. Plan and recommend refurbishment of old circuits by analyzing its performance. • Investigate failures and recommend preventive actions to minimize the frequency of breakdown in transmission lines. • Assist in monitoring the day to day sectional activities. • Review the practice of outsourcing of maintenance activities and suggest suitable changes based on skill and availability of manpower. All these roles will be based in the UAE.
