Security Administrator VAM SYSTEMS is a Business Consulting, IT Solutions and Services company with operations in UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, USA, Australia, Singapore & India. VAMSYSTEMS is currently looking for Security Administrator for our Bahrain operations with the following skill set and terms and conditions: Skill Set required: Strong experience in UNIX and Windows is Mandatory. Responsibilities; 1. Assess and participate in the risks associated with network and Internet security threats, and participate in the analysis, recommendation and implementation of preventive and mitigating security measures. 2. Review and provide recommendations on messaging systems, IP-based networks & technologies, and Information Services security. 3. Monitor and report on intrusions and hacking attempts, and participate in security incidence response & handling planning, investigation and mitigation. 4. Provide and maintain user system accesses in compliance with the applicable policies and procedures. 5. Review firewall configuration to ensure suitability with the type of Internet usage and encountered threats. 6. Review remote VPN connections to ensure secure set-up and implementation. 7. Evaluate network updates and participate in related planning to ensure proper attention, design and implementation to security matters. 8. Provide for network security architecture review and design. 9. Explore web security risks and how to minimize them utilising mitigation techniques such as cryptography, SSL, Public Key Infrastructure, digital signatures and digital certificates. 10. Research and evaluate new or improved security measures to implement for Web-based systems, and verify web application security requirements and implementation. 11. Assess the need for network/Internet security batches and follow-up on their implementation. 12. Assess any Wireless network security requirements. 13. Analyse privacy threats such as cookies, web logs, web bugs, spyware, key-logger, identity theft, etc. 14. Assist in designing and implementing network security architecture - Security risk assessments on architecture, systems, network elements, operating systems, applications and products. 15. Participate in designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to support the information and data security needs. 16. Participate in information security review of IT raised folders for change, upgrade and new software. 17. Provide for the security maintenance of network/Internet systems and the implementation of the related information security policies and procedures. 18. Assist in the development and maintenance of MAN procedures. 19. Provide out-of-office-working-hours service and support to HO and branches. 20. Familiarise with, adheres to and enforce the Bank’s/Information Security’s policies, standards and procedures. 21. Ensure satisfactory cooperation with internal and external auditors and adherence to regulatory requirements. 22. Keep self up-to-date with information security latest developments and seek to participate in the relevant information security training and events, and participate in user security awareness. 23. Assist in the provisioning, testing and security risk assessment of the Bank’s DR/Business Continuity systems and planning. 24. Generate networking and Internet security reports including monthly reports on relevant network security systems. 25. Participate in the handling of information security (WIRE) issues assigned to the area.
